Love for Nie

I don't know how many of you have heard of NieNie, I found out about her from my good friend Kristen. She is a brilliant and beautiful LDS mother of four. Her blog is charming and inspiring. Recently she and her husband were in a very serious plane crash, the pilot was killed and Nie and her husband Mr. Nielson have been left with seviere burns on their body. I encourage everyone to pray for this young family, and if you have the means donate to their fund. If you haven't heard of her please take a few minutes to explore her beautiful blog.

Sunday -Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
I think I will add two cups frozen mixed veggies to the chicken and dumplings

I LOVE COSTCO

When we were in Hawaii last month our camera broke. Ben and I had three choices;

1 Not take anymore pictures. :(
2 Buy a cheap camera that will take crappy pictures :.(
3 Buy the expensive camera that we really want and have been saving for even though we haven't saved enough for it. ;)

We chose option 3 and after a 45minute bus ride to and from our hotel we purchased a Nikon D60 10.2-mega pixel D-SLR Outfit, at the Costco in Oahu. Luckily it was on sale for $125.00 less than the regular price. The camera was a joy and instantly our picture quality improved.

Unfortunately, our camera seems to be on the fritz lately, the power button seems to be stuck, and the pictures aren't popping up automatically. Last night I called Nikon (24 hour customer service, who knew?) He said it sounds like the camera is experiencing electronic failure. We are now left with two options;

1 Ship it back to Nikon and see if they can determine the problem and fix it for free
2 Return it back to Costco and exchange it for a new one

Here is the catch;

Since we bought the camera in Hawaii, we did not keep the box that it came in, and we lost the receipt on the way home; Thus no proof of purchase, and no more discount.

Why I love Costco

They took our camera back, few questions asked, and the charming manager Marcello even offered us the original (on sale price) to buy a new one.

If they made shirts that said "I heart Costco" I would wear one every day.

A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM JENNA’S "FRIEND", RAINN WILSON

I am about to let you in on what an on what a "The Office" fan I am. I am friends with Pam on myspace. About once a month or so she blogs from the set on her myspace page and tells funny stories about the show, or about what her and Angela bought at target the day before (I am friends with Angela too) Sometimes she talks about her upcoming movies or how crazy the Golden Globes were. Today I found this. Friends she needs our help.

Hey there Jenna's MySpacers!

My name is Rainn Wilson and I've kidnapped the lovely Jenna, put her, bound, in the trunk of my firebird and logged onto her MySpace to send out this bulletin.

To free America's sweetheart, Pam Beesly, one half of the magic which is 'Jam', you must attend my new movie, 'The Rocker', which opens August 20th.

As soon as the film grosses 18.7 Mil, she will be released and given a peach smoothie.

I've also recently discovered that August 20th is truly a special and historic day. Estonia achieved it's independence! Sting got married to Trudy Skyler! What better way to celebrate the magic of Sting and Estonia than by seeing what is perhaps the greatest film ever made (about a heavy metal drummer).

Many of you have perhaps seen posters of me in my leopard briefs, or the trailers in which my balls get racked by a power strip. And, although the film WILL be adored by legions of teen-aged male Dwight fans, it will also be loved by the whole GD family, including Amish cousins.

It truly is a fun and lovely coming-of-age, rock n'roll comedy and good reviews are coming in, including two thumbs up from Ebert and Roeper and also from my son, Walter (who has three of them).

Also, if you're a fan of:

Will Arnett, Christina Applegate, Jason Sudeikis, Jane Lynch, Emma Stone, Jeff Garlin, Demitri Martin, Fred Armisen, Bradley Cooper, Pope Benedick III, WINGS (the show and/or the back-up band), coral reefs, soup, Former Mayor Ed Koch, the guy who played Norm on Cheers, baby Suri, dairy, Coldplay, Animal Planet or the letter "Q"...

YOU WILL LOVE THIS MOVIE!

So... Please spend your 10.50$ American on THE ROCKER, get yourself a popcorn and a Mountain Dew, bring 1800 of your closest friends so that 1) Jenna gets a smoothie and 2) They let me be in another movie someday.

That is all.
Rainn Dietrich Wilson

Camping at the Beach with the Hansens

We had so much fun beach camping in San Diego, we played with so many siblings and cousins, made cobbler and went boogie boarding. I caught several waves myself. Jocelyn of course thrived in the ocean. She loved it.

A walk down Memory Lane

Memory Lane!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.
