Girl Perks

Yesterday Jocelyn and I went with some friends to go swimming but the pool was SO cold we couldn't bring ourselves to go in the water. So... we just sat around on the grass looking cute in bathingsuits.

Blogger style

So as you may have noticed my blog has suffered from schizophrenia lately trying to find its true self through many styles and colors. But I think I have finally found something I can live with for a while. Really it is all Katie Errbs fault; her page is so cute and stylish. I wanted to change my page to be as cute as hers and after way more time than I should have spent looking for a new look I decided to just steal hers. So…Thanks Katie, you’re the tops.

In other news Jocelyn played at the beach today and discovered that she REALLY likes sand. It was the cutest thing ever.

Crawling bugs and Charmed

Jocelyn can crawl well sort of... she gets up on all fours, takes two steps with her hands, hops her knees forward and than throws her body into a single arm dive to grab the toy in front of her. It is quite entertaining. However I realize now the house is no longer safe, for her and for the house and so we have begun the process of baby proofing everything. At least I will once I finish watching Charmed. That show is too addicting.

Hot springs

We went on a hike to the Gaviota hot springs today and it was awesome. It was Jocelyn's first hike and the first time Ben carried her in the back pack.

I saw these rocks on the hike and they made me happy.

The hot springs were so beautiful. Someday if we ever build a pool I want it to look like this. It was stunning.

The water was like a mild bath, but it is perfect to dip our toes in. It was really great. (P.S. check out Ben's guns, he is so hot)

So big so fast

When Jocelyn was first born all I did was take pictures but I haven't taken any in a while and now she is starting to do magical things. She ate her first solid food the other day which went really well

Belgium

So yesterday I watched Across the Universe, which I liked for the most part. About half way through I started to feel a little woozie, but that's not the point. I realized two things, I miss listening to the Beatles and I really miss Eddie Izzard, he was only in the movie for a few minutes and I wasn't sure if we was wearing a big face mask or not. If you haven't seen the movie, lots of people wear big masks, but Eddie has a very large face that is disporportionate to his body. I think it is because he has such skinny legs, which would explain why he likes to put on women's clothing.

Why do this...

For the past five years I have regularly read the blogs of friends Sarah, Tanya and Amanda; laughed at their whitty stories and then walked away feeling like I just had a good conversation with them without going over my cell phone minutes. However I realized that this is not a real relationship. ( I actually did the same thing when stephie went on her mission. I would read her weekly emails and never once wrote her a letter. Stephie... I am sorry I didn't write you.) But now I hope to be better. By writing about my daily life (I have a super cute kid so stuff is always happening) I can return my end of the conversation and maybe entertain a few people as well. So here it goes.
